Life With Birds, A Solo Exhibit

For an artist who still finds themself wondering what their artistic style or niche is, putting together a show can feel like a massive milestone and a daunting challenge. When I was given the opportunity to create my first solo exhibit, I would have told you that my work didn’t have a common theme and seemed to lack direction, that was until I actually saw LIFE WITH BIRDS up on the walls of the gallery. Walking into a space filled with nothing but my own art, I realized that I was an artist and one with a clear love of birds.

LIFE WITH BIRDS ran from January 4 - February 14, 2024 in the Fine Arts Gallery on the Pierce College campus in Puyallup, WA and featured 22 original works. Thank you to Karen Doten for thinking of my work for the gallery space and so graciously installing the show.
