Collections Manager at the Burke

Celebrating 6 months at my dream job as a Collections Manager of Ornithology at the Burke Museum of Natural History! I used to volunteer here (when the museum was located in the tiny old building) and dream about getting to work in a natural history museum. Nearly 10 years later, I somehow found my way back to this museum and get to spend every day playing with birds. So far I’ve prepared dozens of birds from Singapore, organized thousands of sea bird skins, and even spent a month in Colombia imaging hummingbird wings. What adventures will the next six months and countless years bring in the museum?

Giving a tour and holding an albatross.
